Joao Felix has written his name into the Al Nassr history books with an unprecedented achievement following his latest performance for the Saudi Pro League side.
The Portuguese playmaker, who joined the club on loan from Chelsea during the summer transfer window of 2025, delivered a display that has left fans and pundits alike in awe. His contribution in the recent fixture against Al Wehda on February 7, 2026, saw him become the first Al Nassr player to register a goal and two assists in a single half of a league match since the club began recording detailed statistics in 2012.
Felix opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a composed finish from inside the box, before turning provider for Anderson Talisca just six minutes later. He then set up Sadio Mane in the 41st minute to complete a devastating first-half performance that put Al Nassr 3-0 up before the break.
The 26-year-old’s influence did not stop there. He continued to pull the strings in the second half, dictating the tempo and creating further chances. His overall display drew comparisons to some of the game’s greats, with head coach Stefano Pioli describing him as “a magician of a special kind” in his post-match press conference.
“Joao has a unique ability to see passes that others simply cannot,” Pioli said. “What he did tonight was special. He controlled the game from start to finish, and that kind of performance is rare. We are very fortunate to have him.”
The milestone is particularly significant given the calibre of players who have worn the Al Nassr shirt in recent years, including Cristiano Ronaldo. No player had managed to achieve a goal and two assists in a single half of a league game for the club since the statistic began being tracked 14 years ago.
Felix’s form has been a key factor in Al Nassr’s push for the Saudi Pro League title this season. The club currently sits second in the table, just two points behind leaders Al Hilal with 14 games remaining in the 2025-26 campaign.
The former Benfica and Atletico Madrid star has now registered eight goals and seven assists in 18 league appearances this term, making him one of the most productive attacking players in the division. His understanding with the likes of Ronaldo, Mane, and Talisca has grown visibly with each passing week.
“I am very happy here,” Felix told reporters after the match. “The team has given me confidence, and I am enjoying my football. This achievement is nice, but the most important thing is that we keep winning and fighting for the title. That is what matters most.”
Al Nassr’s next test comes against Al Shabab on February 14, 2026, as they look to close the gap on league leaders Al Hilal. With Felix in this kind of form, few would bet against them doing exactly that.
