Algerian coach Faouzi Benzarti said Morocco “does not need advice”, stressing that the country’s football reputation speaks for itself and that the situation around national team coach Walid Regragui should be judged with balance.
Benzarti, who spoke in comments carried by the media, pointed to Morocco’s standing on the continent and the global stage, insisting that the national team’s progress in recent years is not a subject for lessons from the outside.
He also defended Regragui, underlining that managing Morocco is a unique job with heavy pressure and high expectations.
“Morocco does not need advice,” Benzarti said, before adding that Regragui’s role “is not available for everyone,” in a clear message about the difficulty of the position and the demands that come with it.
Benzarti’s remarks come as debate continues around Morocco’s performances and the work of the national team staff, with public discussion often rising after international windows and major tournaments.
