Morocco is set to host the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup with “99 percent” certainty, according to what was revealed in recent reports.
The same information said Morocco has become the clear front-runner to stage the tournament, with the decision expected to be confirmed officially at a later stage.
Morocco’s growing role on the global football stage has been backed by its strong record of hosting major events, as well as its infrastructure plans and readiness to deliver a large-scale competition.
The Club World Cup has taken on greater importance in FIFA’s calendar, with the revamped format increasing the attention on host choices and the organisational demands placed on host nations.
An official announcement has not yet been issued, but the reports stressed that Morocco’s hosting of the 2029 edition is now considered almost certain.
