Algeria booked their place in the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals in dramatic fashion, scoring a late winner to beat Congo and set up a meeting with Nigeria.
The match was tight for long periods, with both teams battling for control and chances limited as the minutes ticked by.
Algeria, however, found the decisive moment late on, grabbing a “killer” goal to settle the contest and secure the win over their Congolese opponents.
The result sends Algeria through to the last eight, where they will face Nigeria in the quarterfinals as they continue their AFCON campaign.
