Egypt international Taher Mohamed Taher is set to undergo surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament after suffering a serious knee injury, with his operation scheduled for next Thursday.
Medical sources confirmed that the Al Ahly winger has completed the necessary tests in recent hours, and the results showed he needs ACL surgery.
The player picked up the injury during Al Ahly’s recent match, and he will begin a recovery and rehabilitation programme after the procedure, as the club’s medical staff follow his case closely.
The decision to fix the date for the operation comes as the latest step in his treatment plan, with Taher expected to be ruled out for a long period as he starts the road back to full fitness.
