Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan praised Morocco and their coach Walid Regragui ahead of the quarter-final against Ivory Coast, stressing that the North African side have become one of the strongest teams on the continent.
Speaking before the match, Hassan said Morocco are “a respected team” and pointed to the clear identity they have built under Regragui, adding that their recent results show the level they have reached.
Hassan also highlighted Regragui’s work, saying the Moroccan coach has succeeded in creating balance and stability within the squad, and that this has been reflected in their performances.
The Egypt coach noted that Morocco’s strength does not only come from individual talent, but from how the group plays together and the discipline they show in big matches.
