Nigeria’s national team arrived for the Algeria game with the focus back on football after moving past what was described as one of its most serious recent crises behind the scenes.

In the days leading up to the clash, the camp was hit by a tense situation that threatened to distract the squad and affect preparations. However, the crisis was brought under control before it could escalate, allowing the players and staff to return to a normal routine.

What was revealed is that the issue was settled internally after quick intervention, with the priority placed on keeping the dressing room united and protecting the team’s preparations for the Algeria match.

Sources close to the camp indicated that the solution came through direct talks and firm steps to end the dispute, ensuring there would be no fallout inside the group as the date of the game approached.

The coaching staff then shifted attention fully to the sporting side, resuming technical meetings and training sessions as planned, while the players responded by committing to the program and avoiding further distractions.

Nigeria now head into the Algeria clash aiming to turn the page completely, and to show that the turbulence off the pitch will not affect their performance when the whistle blows.
