Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan said the national team benefited from the recent Africa Cup of Nations by adding new faces to the squad, stressing that the experience helped widen the options available for the future.
“We gained 11 new players for the Pharaohs at the Africa Cup of Nations,” Hassan said, as he underlined the importance of giving opportunities and building depth within the team.
The coach explained that the tournament offered a real test for several players, allowing them to adapt to the pressure of major competitions and prove they can contribute at international level.
Hassan also pointed to the value of what the squad learned during the campaign, insisting that the team will look to build on those lessons in the next stage, with more competition for places and a stronger overall group.
