Egyptian media figure Ahmed Shobier sent a message to Morocco fans, stressing that the national anthem must be respected and should never be touched.
Shobier said the anthem is a “red line,” calling on supporters to avoid any actions that could be seen as disrespectful before matches.
He also asked Morocco fans not to be upset if the same kind of response comes back, saying that reacting “like for like” is normal when such situations happen.
Shobier’s comments come amid growing debate around fan behavior and what happens in stadiums during national anthems, as he urged everyone to keep things calm and show respect.
