Morocco were forced to play extra time with 10 men against Senegal after defender Soufiane Bouftini was sent off late in normal time in their match at the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
Bouftini received a second yellow card in the closing minutes, leaving Morocco a man down heading into extra time and putting added pressure on the hosts as they looked to see out the contest.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Morocco stayed organised and continued to battle, while Senegal tried to use their extra player to find a winning goal in the additional 30 minutes.
The dismissal was a major turning point in a tight encounter, with Morocco now needing to manage extra time carefully to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.
