Mbappe defends Vinicius and Bellingham after boos

Mbappé celebrates with Vinícius and Jude Bellingham, all in Real Madrid's white kit, showcasing joy after a match moment.

Kylian Mbappe has come out strongly in defence of Real Madrid team-mates Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham after both players were targeted by boos from sections of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd.

Speaking after the latest criticism aimed at the forward line, Mbappe made it clear he believes the squad must do more for Vinicius, who has regularly been subjected to hostile treatment in stadiums and now faced frustration from home supporters as well.

“We have to protect him better,” Mbappe said, backing Vinicius and insisting the Brazilian remains vital to Madrid’s attacking game.

The France captain also defended Bellingham, who has been under pressure and was also whistled during the same spell, with Mbappe stressing that the Englishman’s effort and commitment have not changed despite a dip in form.

Mbappe’s comments were a clear message that the dressing room is united behind both players, as Madrid look to keep focus on their targets in the key part of the season.

It has been revealed that Mbappe has taken a lead role inside the squad in trying to calm the situation around Vinicius and Bellingham, viewing the public reaction as unfair and believing the team must shoulder more responsibility in supporting them on the pitch.
