A handful of USMNT players have already made moves in the January window, with several deals now confirmed as clubs reshape their squads for the second half of the season.
Griffin Yow has returned to MLS, completing a move to the New England Revolution. The switch brings the winger back to the United States after time abroad and gives the Revolution another attacking option as they look ahead to the new MLS campaign. It is one of the early American moves of the month and a deal that is now done.
Damion Downs is heading to Hamburg, a transfer that sets up a fresh start as he looks to bounce back. The move gives the young forward a new platform in Germany and a chance to find momentum with a club pushing for its own targets this season.
Two other USMNT-linked names have also been part of the early January movement. Cole Campbell has been on the move as he continues his development in Europe, while Luca de la Torre has also seen his situation change during the window. With these deals already confirmed, the Americans involved will now aim to settle quickly and fight for minutes in the weeks ahead.
More moves are still expected as the window develops, but for now, Yow’s return to MLS and Downs’ switch to Hamburg stand out as two of the clearest storylines among USMNT players so far this January.
