Olympic Safi secured a 2-0 victory over Ivory Coast’s San Pedro on Sunday, a result that lifted the Moroccan side to second place in their CAF Confederation Cup group.
After a controlled first half, Olympic Safi broke the deadlock shortly after the restart, taking the lead in the 49th minute to put the visitors under pressure.
San Pedro tried to respond, but Olympic Safi stayed disciplined at the back and continued to look dangerous on the break.
The home side then sealed the win late on, adding a second goal in the 86th minute to confirm all three points and clinch the group’s runner-up spot.
