Bayern chief gives update on Harry Kane contract talks

Harry Kane, wearing Bayern Munich's red kit, claps enthusiastically, showcasing determination amid a stadium atmosphere.

Bayern Munich have provided a fresh update on Harry Kane’s contract situation as the Bundesliga champions look to secure the long-term future of their star striker.

The England captain only joined from Tottenham in the summer of 2023, but his impact in Germany has already made him one of the first names on the teamsheet in Munich. Bayern are keen to keep that reliability at the top of the pitch and have been asked regularly about how they plan to handle Kane’s deal.

Speaking about the situation, Bayern chief Jan-Christian Dreesen made it clear the club are calm about the next steps, insisting there is no rush to resolve anything immediately. “We will talk at the right time,” he said.

Kane, 30, signed a contract that runs until 2027 when he arrived at the Allianz Arena, and Bayern remain confident about their position. The club’s message is that discussions will be handled in a normal way, without any unnecessary pressure, as they continue to build around one of the most consistent goal scorers in Europe.

Bayern’s stance underlines their intention to keep the forward at the heart of the project, with Kane continuing to lead the line since his move to Germany and remaining a key figure for both club and country.
