Bayern Munich returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga as Luis Diaz struck a hat-trick and Harry Kane added a late goal in a 4-0 win over 10-man Hoffenheim.
After a difficult spell, Bayern started with intent and were in front when Diaz opened the scoring, giving the league leaders the early control they had been missing in recent games.
Hoffenheim’s task became even tougher when they were reduced to 10 men, leaving Bayern to dominate possession and territory as the visitors struggled to cope with the pressure.
Diaz made it 2-0 before the break with his second of the afternoon, finishing another Bayern move to put the result firmly in their hands at half-time.
The same pattern continued after the restart. Bayern stayed on the front foot and Diaz completed his hat-trick to effectively settle the contest, capping a standout performance as Munich turned their superiority into goals.
Kane then underlined Bayern’s control by calmly converting late on to make it 4-0, adding a clinical finish to a one-sided afternoon.
The result sees Bayern stop the rot and get back to winning ways, with Diaz the clear headline act and Kane once again delivering when the chance arrived.
