Al Hilal Recovers Two Stars Before Al Sadd Clash

Al Hilal has received a significant boost ahead of its crucial AFC Champions League semi-final clash with Qatar’s Al Sadd, with two key players returning to training.

The Saudi Arabian giants confirmed that both Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić and Moroccan defender Kalidou Koulibaly participated in the team’s session on Monday, April 15. Their return comes as a major relief for the club and its fans.

Koulibaly’s comeback is particularly timely, following the defensive shock suffered in the first leg against Al Ain. The Senegalese center-back was forced off with an injury during that match, which Al Hilal ultimately lost 4-2 on April 17. His presence was sorely missed as the team conceded four goals at home.

Milinković-Savić, a pivotal figure in the midfield, also rejoined the group after recovering from his own physical issue. His return bolsters Al Hilal’s creative and defensive options in the center of the park.

The club’s medical staff is now working to ensure both players reach optimal fitness levels before the high-stakes encounter. Al Hilal will host Al Sadd at the Kingdom Arena on Tuesday, April 23, in the first leg of the semi-finals, aiming to keep its continental title defense on track.
