The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has issued an official statement in response to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in a message that has sparked wide reaction.
In its communication, the FAF returned to what it described as repeated grievances, insisting that its position is based on defending the rights of Algerian football and demanding what it sees as fair treatment within CAF competitions.
The statement reiterated the federation’s view on the recent developments and the decisions taken at CAF level, stressing that Algeria will continue to use official channels to contest any measures it considers unfair.
The tone of the message, however, drew criticism from observers, with some describing it as another chapter in a long-running narrative of “victimhood” whenever disputes arise with the continental body.
CAF has not issued any new public response alongside the Algerian statement, leaving the matter at the level of official correspondence for now.
