Alvaro Morata has hit back at Cesc Fabregas after the Como coach suggested the striker should “change careers” following his red card in a shock defeat to Fiorentina.
Morata was sent off during the Serie A clash as Como’s night unravelled, leaving Fabregas furious with the decision-making that hurt his side at a key moment in the match.
After the final whistle, Fabregas did not hide his frustration when discussing Morata’s dismissal. The former Spain midfielder went public with a blunt warning, saying the forward should “change careers” if he cannot control himself in those situations.
Morata has now responded, addressing Fabregas’ comments and the fallout from the incident.
