Arne Slot says he is excited to work with Jeremy Jacquet after Liverpool completed the signing of the highly-rated Frenchman.
The Liverpool head coach described Jacquet as a “very big talent” and made it clear the club had been tracking the youngster closely before moving to bring him to Anfield.
Slot also praised the Liverpool board for getting the deal done in the face of strong interest from elsewhere, crediting the club for “seeing off” the competition to secure the player’s signature.
The Dutchman believes Jacquet has the qualities needed to develop at Liverpool and is looking forward to seeing how he settles into the squad as preparations continue.
Jacquet now links up with Slot’s group after agreeing to the move, with Liverpool confident they have added another player with a high ceiling for the future.
