Several European clubs are tracking Real Salt Lake teenager Zavier Gozo, with Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa, Monaco and Villarreal among those showing interest, sources have told GOAL.
Gozo has been on the radar after his early breakthrough with RSL, and his progress has now started to draw attention from across the Atlantic. Those conversations have not gone unnoticed, with multiple teams in Spain, England and France keeping close tabs on the young attacker’s situation.
Sources say Atletico and Villa are two of the sides monitoring Gozo, while Ligue 1 outfit Monaco and La Liga’s Villarreal are also among the clubs following him. The revealed detail is the breadth of that interest, with several European teams now actively watching the Real Salt Lake prospect.
Gozo is still in the early stages of his career and remains a Real Salt Lake player, but his rise has put him firmly on the shortlist of a number of teams looking to identify emerging talent in MLS.
