RS Berkane were held to a draw at home by Egypt’s Pyramids in the CAF Champions League, as the two sides failed to find a winner in a tight contest.
Berkane started with intent in front of their fans, trying to impose their rhythm early on, but Pyramids stayed organised and closed down spaces well.
As the minutes passed, the game became more cautious, with both teams focusing on avoiding mistakes. Chances were limited, and neither side managed to turn their efforts into clear goalscoring opportunities.
After the break, Berkane pushed forward in search of an opening, while the Egyptian visitors relied on their discipline and quick breaks to keep the hosts under pressure.
Despite the late attempts from both teams, the score remained unchanged until the final whistle, leaving Berkane to settle for a home draw and both sides taking a point from the Champions League encounter.
