Cameroon head coach Marc Brys has rejected any comparison between his work with the Indomitable Lions and what Walid Regragui has achieved with Morocco.

Speaking in a video interview, Brys said he does not like to be measured against other coaches, stressing that each manager has his own path and circumstances. “I refuse to be compared to Regragui,” he said, while underlining his respect for the Moroccan coach.

Brys pointed out that coaching is shaped by many factors, including the group of players available, the football culture and the conditions around the national team. For him, results must be judged within their context, not through direct comparisons between two different projects.

He also made it clear that his focus is fully on Cameroon and on building a team that can compete consistently, rather than entering debates about who is doing a better job elsewhere.

The Cameroon coach’s comments come at a time when national team performances across Africa are constantly weighed against each other, with Regragui often mentioned as a leading example after Morocco’s recent success on the international stage.
