Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe has been charged with actual bodily harm following an arrest at an airport.
The 29-year-old was arrested at London Luton Airport on July 2, 2024. Bedfordshire Police later confirmed he had been charged in connection with the incident.
A police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident at London Luton Airport on July 2.”
The statement added: “Jordon Ibe, 29, of Widnes, has been charged with the offence and is due to appear before Luton Magistrates’ Court on August 6.”
Ibe came through Liverpool’s academy and made his first-team breakthrough under Brendan Rodgers, going on to feature 11 times for the Reds before moving to Bournemouth in 2016.
He later had spells with Derby County and Turkish side Adanaspor. In 2022, Ibe also revealed he had been diagnosed with depression.
