Gabriel Jesus has said he wants to extend his Arsenal contract and stay in north London, despite admitting his time at the club has been disrupted by injuries.

The Brazilian forward, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, made it clear he wants his future settled with the club. “I want to extend my contract,” Jesus said, as he opened up on the physical problems that have limited his rhythm since arriving in the Premier League.

Jesus acknowledged that injuries have made it difficult to build consistent form and momentum at Emirates Stadium. He admitted he has had to deal with setbacks, describing his spell at Arsenal as a period marked by fitness issues.

Even so, the striker insisted his focus remains on helping Arsenal and continuing his story with the club. He reiterated his wish to sign a new deal, underlining that his plan is to remain an important part of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Jesus is under contract at Arsenal, but his comments revealed he is pushing for an extension as he works to put his injury problems behind him and play a bigger role moving forward.
