Germán Berterame scored the key goal as Mexico beat Bolivia 1-0 to close out their January camp on Wednesday night.
The striker, who has been linked with Inter Miami, made the difference in a tight game that gave head coach Jaime Lozano one last look at his group before competitive action returns.
Mexico controlled long spells but found it hard to turn possession into clear chances in the first half, with Bolivia sitting deep and looking to break when possible.
Berterame finally broke the deadlock after the break, finishing well to put El Tri in front and reward their pressure.
Bolivia tried to respond, pushing higher and committing more players forward late on, but Mexico stayed organised and managed the closing stages to secure the clean sheet.
The 1-0 win brought Mexico’s January camp to an end on a positive note, with Berterame’s decisive strike settling the friendly.
