Former Morocco coach Hervé Renard said there is no need to worry about the Moroccan national team, stressing that the Atlas Lions will win the Africa Cup of Nations soon.
Renard explained that Morocco already has everything needed to lift the trophy, pointing to the quality of the current generation and the stability the team is enjoying. He added that the national side has become stronger and more experienced after what it achieved in recent years.
In his remarks, the French coach underlined that Morocco’s repeated presence at the top level is not a coincidence, and that the squad has the talent and options to compete until the final stages of AFCON. He insisted that success in such tournaments is often decided by fine details, but Morocco is getting closer with every competition.
Renard also recalled that the country has long waited for the continental title, which has been absent since 1976, but he believes the current circumstances make the next triumph a matter of time.
He concluded by saying that the Moroccan team’s progress and the strength of its players in Europe are key reasons behind his confidence, reaffirming his belief that Morocco will soon be crowned African champions.
