Luka Modric will make a decision on his AC Milan future in September, with the veteran midfielder set to wait until the early part of the new season before choosing whether to extend his stay at San Siro.

The 40-year-old, who has already entered the final months of his current deal, is not rushing into any call over a renewal. Instead, the Croatian is expected to assess how the campaign develops before giving the Rossoneri a clear answer.

AC Milan, however, have more than one contract concern on their hands. The club are also sweating on the fitness of USMNT star Christian Pulisic after he picked up a problem that has raised doubts over his availability.

Pulisic has been an important figure for Milan and any absence would be a major blow as they look to build momentum for the season ahead.

For now, Modric’s situation is clear: his decision will come in September, leaving Milan waiting while they manage their early-season plans and keep a close eye on Pulisic’s condition.
