Olympique de Marseille has withdrawn a shirt design after a wave of anger from Moroccan fans over what was described as a “cut map” appearing on the kit.
The controversy erupted online as supporters pointed to a map graphic on the shirt that they said showed Morocco without its full territory, triggering widespread backlash and calls for the club to take action.
Amid the growing uproar, Marseille moved to pull the shirt from circulation, a step seen as a response to the strong reaction and the criticism that followed the design’s appearance.
The decision comes after days of debate on social media, where many Moroccans considered the image unacceptable and demanded its removal.
