Medhi Benatia will remain Olympique de Marseille’s director of football until June, after the club decided to extend his mission for the coming months.
The former Morocco international, who has been overseeing the sporting side at OM, will continue in the role as Marseille look to keep stability behind the scenes while they manage a key period of the season.
The club’s decision confirms Benatia’s position through to the end of the current campaign, with his work set to continue alongside the first-team staff and recruitment department.
Benatia has been involved in Marseille’s sporting project since taking up the post, and the extension keeps him in charge of football operations until June.
