Morocco has not yet submitted its official bid file to host the 2028 Africa Cup of Nations, despite recent talk suggesting otherwise.

Information available so far indicates that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has not placed a hosting dossier with the Confederation of African Football for the AFCON 2028 edition.

CAF has also not announced receiving any Moroccan bid in this regard, at a time when several countries are still weighing up their options before taking a final decision on whether to run for hosting rights.

Morocco remains one of the leading candidates whenever major African tournaments are discussed, especially after the infrastructure work carried out in recent years and the strong organizational record shown in continental and international events.

For now, however, the situation remains clear: no official Moroccan bid has been submitted for AFCON 2028, and any change will depend on a confirmed step from the federation and an official communication from CAF.
