Rumours about Morocco hosting the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations have grown louder in recent days, but there has been no official confirmation.

Several media reports have suggested that the Kingdom could be chosen by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to stage the tournament, yet neither CAF nor the Moroccan authorities have made any announcement on the matter.

The debate has fuelled a wave of commentary online and across the sports press, with talk of venues, organisation and Morocco’s experience in hosting major competitions. Still, the situation remains unchanged: no decision has been made public and no statement has been issued to clarify whether Morocco has been awarded the event.

For now, the only certainty is the silence. Until an official communication comes from CAF or from Morocco’s football and sports officials, the 2026 Women AFCON host remains unconfirmed.
