Wrexham wordt geacht het voorbeeld van Sunderland te volgen in hun streven naar een nieuwe promotie, waarbij de Welshe club haar snelle opmars onder Hollywood-eigenaren Ryan Reynolds en Rob McElhenney voortzet.<\/p>\n

De Red Dragons zijn in korte tijd al door verschillende divisies gestegen en er wordt opnieuw van hen verwacht dat ze dit momentum vasthouden. Nu een streven naar een plek in de Championship vorm krijgt, worden er vergelijkingen gemaakt met Sunderland, dat zich na een eigen terugkeer op de ladder heeft gevestigd als een van de opvallendste teams in de divisie.<\/p>\n

Over de vooruitgang van Wrexham sprekend, benadrukte oud-spits Dean Saunders dat de ambitie van de club niet in twijfel getrokken moet worden en gelooft hij dat ze hoog kunnen mikken als ze op de juiste manier blijven bouwen.<\/p>\n

Saunders wees op de opwaartse trend bij de club en de manier waarop het project is geleid sinds Reynolds en McElhenney het overnamen, waarbij Wrexham zowel op als buiten het veld groeit terwijl ze willen bewijzen dat ze met hogere niveaus om kunnen gaan.<\/p>\n
