De aankondiging werd gedaan door de Koninklijke Marokkaanse Voetbalfederatie na een beslissing van de World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF).<\/p>\n<p>Het toernooi zal naar verwachting plaatsvinden in de steden Sal\u00e9 en Rabat. Dit markeert de eerste keer dat het Wereldkampioenschap Amputatievoetbal op het Afrikaanse continent wordt gehouden, een belangrijke mijlpaal voor de wereldwijde ontwikkeling van de sport.<\/p>\n<p>De voorbereidingen voor het evenement zijn reeds aan de gang. De Marokkaanse federatie heeft bevestigd dat het een nationaal amputatievoetbalteam zal vormen om het gastland te vertegenwoordigen. De trainingscampagne van het team zal in juli van dit jaar van start gaan, waardoor het team twee jaar de tijd heeft om zich voor te bereiden op de wedstrijd op eigen bodem.<\/p>\n<p>Het Wereldkampioenschap 2028 zal 24 nationale teams laten strijden om de titel.
