Dominik Szoboszlai’s representative has moved to cool growing talk linking the Liverpool midfielder with a future switch to Real Madrid.

Reports in recent days have suggested the Spanish giants are monitoring Szoboszlai closely and could consider a move as they plan their next midfield rebuild. The Hungary international has been a regular figure at Anfield since arriving from RB Leipzig, and his profile—energy, athleticism and a strong final ball—has naturally drawn attention across Europe.

But his agent, Matyas Esterhazy, has insisted there is nothing concrete behind the speculation and stressed that Szoboszlai’s focus remains on Liverpool.

“There has been no contact from Real Madrid,” Esterhazy said when asked about the links. “Dominik is under contract at Liverpool, he is happy there and he is only thinking about performing for his club.”

Szoboszlai joined Liverpool in the summer of 2023 after the club activated his release clause, signing a long-term deal. He quickly became important in midfield, contributing goals and assists and offering the kind of intensity Liverpool have often relied on in big matches.

With Madrid frequently mentioned alongside elite midfielders and attacking players during every transfer window, Szoboszlai’s name is the latest to be attached to the Bernabéu. Liverpool, however, are not expected to entertain interest, particularly given the player’s age and the club’s desire to keep the core of the squad together.

For now, the message from Szoboszlai’s camp is clear: the links to Real Madrid are just talk, and there is no move in motion.
