Tottenham have agreed a deal to bring in Igor Tudor as interim head coach, with no option included for the former Juventus boss to remain in the job on a permanent basis.
The agreement leaves the door open for Mauricio Pochettino to return in the future, with Spurs not tying themselves to a long-term commitment as they look to steady the team in the short term.
Tudor, who has previously worked in Serie A and had a stint at Juventus, is set to take charge on a temporary basis as Tottenham plan their next steps.
The structure of the deal is significant, with the club choosing not to include a clause that would allow Tudor to automatically stay on beyond the interim period. That decision means Tottenham can reassess their managerial situation without being locked into a permanent appointment.
Pochettino, who led Spurs to the Champions League final in 2019 during a successful spell in north London, remains a popular figure among supporters and continues to be linked with a possible return.
For now, Tottenham’s focus is on the immediate challenge, with Tudor tasked with guiding the team through the remainder of the campaign while the club keeps its longer-term options open.
