Several reports say Walid Regragui has officially submitted his resignation from his role as head coach of the Morocco national team.
According to the same reports, Regragui’s decision came after growing pressure following Morocco’s recent results, with discussions inside the federation about the next steps for the technical staff.
No official statement has been issued yet confirming whether the resignation has been accepted, or what the timeline will be for naming a new coach.
Regragui, who led Morocco to a historic run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has been in charge of the Atlas Lions since 2022.
