After missing out on hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, questions have returned over whether Morocco will move again and submit a new bid to stage the tournament in 2028.
Morocco had pushed strongly for the 2025 edition, but CAF awarded the hosting rights to Morocco after a vote that went its way, in a decision that ended the race for that tournament.
With the spotlight now turning to the next cycle, attention is on whether the Moroccan federation will officially enter the process for 2028, especially given the country’s recent momentum in organising major football events and upgrading infrastructure.
At this stage, there has been no confirmed announcement on a Moroccan bid for 2028, while the conversation remains open as CAF’s future hosting plans take shape.
