The Italian Serie A 2025-2026 season schedule has been officially released, with the league set to kick off in August 2025 and conclude in May 2026. The new season promises intense competition as top clubs battle for the Scudetto.

The opening matchday is scheduled for the weekend of August 23-24, 2025. Defending champions will begin their title defense on the road, while traditional powerhouses Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan all face challenging opening fixtures.

Key match dates for the 2025-2026 season:

The first Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan is set for Matchday 5 in September 2025. The return fixture will take place in February 2026.

Juventus vs Inter Milan is scheduled for Matchday 9 in October 2025, with the reverse fixture in March 2026.

The Rome derby between Lazio and Roma will be played in November 2025 and April 2026.

The winter break runs from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026. The season will conclude on May 24, 2026, with all matches kicking off simultaneously.

Broadcast channels for the 2025-2026 Serie A season:

In Italy, DAZN holds the exclusive rights to broadcast all 380 Serie A matches live. Sky Sport Italia also holds a sub-license for selected matches, broadcasting three games per matchday.

As the 2024-2025 season approaches its conclusion, the top four teams are separated by just six points. Napoli currently lead the table with 68 points, followed by Inter Milan on 65, Juventus on 63, and AC Milan on 62.

The relegation battle is equally tight, with three clubs within two points of the safety zone. Salernitana, Lecce, and Empoli occupy the bottom three positions with 12 matches remaining.

The Serie A 2025-2026 fixture list confirms that the league will maintain its traditional 20-team format, with three clubs relegated and three promoted from Serie B. The promotion playoff winners from Serie B will be confirmed in June 2025.
