Hilal beats Al-Hazm 3-0 to pressure Al-Nasr before summit

Hilal secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Al-Hazm on Friday evening, piling the pressure on rivals Al-Nasr ahead of their highly anticipated summit clash against Al-Qadsiah.

The win at Al-Hazm’s home ground saw Hilal move temporarily to the top of the league table, forcing Al-Nasr to respond with a positive result in their own fixture. The result sends a clear message from the capital club as the title race intensifies.

Hilal controlled the tempo from the first minute. They opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when a well-worked move ended with a clinical finish past the Al-Hazm goalkeeper. The visitors doubled their lead just before half-time, capitalising on a defensive lapse to make it 2-0 in the 41st minute.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Hilal continued to dominate possession and created several clear chances. They sealed the three points in the 67th minute with a third goal, a powerful strike from inside the box that left the home keeper with no chance.

Al-Hazm struggled to create any meaningful opportunities throughout the match. Hilal’s defence remained solid, and the clean sheet was fully deserved.

Speaking after the match, Hilal’s manager praised his team’s focus and intensity. “We knew this was a must-win game. The players showed great character and executed the game plan perfectly. Now we wait for the next challenge,” he said.

The victory puts Hilal on 54 points from 22 matches, two points clear of Al-Nasr before their game. Al-Nasr face Al-Qadsiah on Saturday in a match that could reshape the title race once again.

Hilal’s fans will hope their team can maintain this form as the season enters its decisive phase. The title battle remains wide open, with every point now carrying enormous weight.
