Five Arab players have been included in the ideal XI for the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, with Mohamed Salah and Ayoub El Kaabi both missing out.
The selection features Ayman Hussein of Iraq, Soufiane Rahimi of Morocco, Amine Gouiri of Algeria, Hussein El Shahat of Egypt, and Aziz Behich of Tunisia.
Salah’s absence from the lineup comes despite Egypt reaching the knockout rounds, while El Kaabi was also left out after Morocco progressed from the group stage.
