Fohami clears الركراكي and explains Diaz’s success

Moroccan football analyst Hassan Fohami has moved to defend national team coach Walid Regragui, insisting the coach should not be blamed for any previous issues linked to Brahim Diaz, while also explaining the main reason behind the player’s current strong form.

Speaking in firm terms, Fohami said Regragui “must not be held responsible,” stressing that the coach’s role has been misread in recent debates around Diaz and his place with the Morocco national team.

Fohami pointed to Diaz’s recent performances as proof of his quality, but underlined that what is being seen now is tied to clear factors around the player’s situation rather than any sudden change caused by the national team set-up.

He explained that Diaz is shining because of stability and confidence, adding that the player has benefited from the right conditions that allow him to play with freedom and show his best level.

In the same context, Fohami repeated that the discussion should not be turned into an attack on Regragui, arguing that the coach has always made decisions based on what he sees in training and matches, and that Diaz’s rise is mainly linked to his own development and the environment around him.

The analyst’s comments come as Diaz continues to draw attention with his displays, with Fohami making it clear that the player’s success has a direct explanation, and that Regragui should be kept out of the blame game.
