Harry Kane has admitted he is finding life off the pitch just as challenging as his work in front of goal at Bayern Munich, revealing that learning German has been “very hard” since his move to the Bundesliga.
The England captain has settled quickly in Munich after joining Bayern from Tottenham in the summer of 2023, scoring freely and becoming a key figure in the squad. But Kane conceded that adjusting to a new language has been a tough process.
“It’s been very hard,” Kane said when asked about learning German, explaining that while he is trying to pick up the basics, it has taken time to feel comfortable.
Despite the struggle, Kane also offered a clear indication of where he sees his future, saying he is happy at Bayern and underlining his commitment to the club. The striker’s comments were taken as a major hint that he sees his long-term future in Munich rather than looking elsewhere.
Kane has become a leading voice within the dressing room and a key part of Bayern’s plans, and his message was that he is focused on enjoying his football in Germany while continuing to adapt to life in a new country.
