Morocco-based defender Mohamed Hamdy has described his recent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury as a major setback, but insisted he will stay the course and continue his career in Morocco.

Hamdy spoke after confirming he had suffered an ACL tear, calling it a “frustrating injury” as he begins his recovery.

Despite the blow, the player stressed that he has no plans to leave Morocco, saying he will continue there and focus on returning stronger once his rehabilitation is complete.
