Hervé Renard’s successor has been confirmed, with Sabri Lamouchi appointed as the new head coach of the Tunisia national team, despite clear anger from many Tunisian fans.
The decision was revealed in Tunisia after the final steps of the agreement were completed, ending days of debate over who would take charge of the “Eagles of Carthage” in the next stage.
Lamouchi, a former Tunisia international, will lead the national team in the coming period, with the federation moving forward with the appointment even as criticism spread online and in local discussions about the choice.
Several supporters had voiced their rejection of the move, questioning the timing and the direction of the technical project, but the official stance did not change and Lamouchi’s name was approved.
The announcement means Tunisia will now begin preparations under Lamouchi, as the coaching change becomes official and the focus turns to upcoming commitments for the national side.
