Ahmed “Mido” Hossam has spoken out against any move to remove Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan, saying the national team needs stability and that constant changes do not help.

In his remarks, Mido made it clear he rejects Hossam Hassan’s exit, stressing that the former striker should be allowed to continue his work with the Pharaohs without added pressure.

Mido also turned his attention to the domestic game, insisting the Egyptian Premier League must take serious steps forward. He said the competition is in need of development, pointing to the importance of improving the overall system to raise standards on and off the pitch.

The former Egypt international underlined that league reform is essential if clubs and players are to progress, and that a stronger domestic competition will reflect positively on the national team in the long run.
