Cristiano Ronaldo has won his long-running legal dispute with Juventus after Italy’s arbitration board ruled the Serie A club must pay him €9.8 million.
The case centred on unpaid wages that were deferred during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Juventus agreed salary reductions with players. Ronaldo maintained he was owed money from that period and took the matter to arbitration.
The ruling confirmed Juventus are required to pay Ronaldo €9.8m, a figure lower than the full amount he had originally sought. The decision is the latest development in a dispute that has run on since his time in Turin.
Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid in 2018 and left the club in 2021, later returning to Manchester United. He is now playing in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr.
Juventus have not made a further public comment on the decision, while Ronaldo has also yet to issue a statement on the outcome.
