The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has imposed strong disciplinary sanctions on the Algerian Football Federation following the events that took place during Algeria’s match against Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
CAF’s decision came after it reviewed the reports linked to the incidents surrounding the fixture, and the governing body confirmed that the measures were directed at the Algerian federation because of what happened during the game.
The sanctions include significant penalties against Algeria, as CAF moved to respond firmly to the violations recorded during the match in Morocco, bringing the case to an official conclusion through its disciplinary channels.
The Algeria FA has been informed of the ruling, which relates specifically to the Nigeria match and the incidents that were registered during the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
