Morocco has filed a complaint against the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and has also decided to appeal over the decision surrounding the AFCON 2026 final.
The move follows CAF’s announcement on where the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2026 will be played. Morocco does not agree with that choice and has now taken the matter further through official channels.
According to the information revealed, Morocco has formally lodged its complaint with CAF and will pursue an appeal in an attempt to have the decision reviewed.
For now, CAF has not announced any change and the AFCON 2026 final remains scheduled as previously decided, while Morocco continues its legal and administrative steps.
