Elliot Lee has appeared to take a parting swipe at Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson after completing his move away from the club to join a League One side.
Lee, who played a key role during Wrexham’s recent rise, has now ended his spell in north Wales and will continue his career in the third tier. The transfer has been confirmed, bringing his time at the Racecourse Ground to a close.
In remarks following the switch, Lee suggested he is looking forward to a new challenge and hinted at frustrations from his final period at Wrexham, comments that have been interpreted as being aimed at Parkinson.
The midfielder’s departure marks another change in Wrexham’s squad as the club reshapes ahead of the new campaign, while Lee begins a fresh chapter at League One level.
