Former Senegal coach Claude Le Roy said Sadio Mane has continued to impress him despite his move to Saudi Arabia, while insisting Mohamed Salah has delivered exactly what was expected of him.
Le Roy explained that Mane’s level and impact did not drop after leaving European football, describing him as a player who keeps surprising people with his consistency and influence on the pitch.
He also spoke about Salah’s career path, noting that the Liverpool star has simply matched the high standards that were set for him, without portraying his output as unexpected.
Le Roy’s comments came as he compared the two African icons and their different journeys, stressing that both remain among the continent’s key players, even if the reaction to their performances is not the same.
